Overview
Supply Ontario (SO) has established a replacement Vendor of Record (VOR) arrangement for Secure Document and Media Destruction Services (Tender-19582). This VOR arrangement is with a single vendor.
The VOR arrangement will become effective on March 1, 2025, and is for a term of four years, with no extension option. This VOR arrangement is mandatory for OPS ministries and agencies and is optionally available to non-OPS entities including municipalities, academic institutions, school boards, health care providers, and provincial agencies.
The VOR arrangement is to provide services for fulfillment of secure document and media destruction services from various facilities throughout the Province of Ontario.
The following types of services are covered in the VOR:
- Regularly scheduled on-site removal, off-site or on-site destruction, and off-site disposal of documents
- Ad-hoc on-site removal, off-site or on-site destruction, and off-site disposal of documents
- Data and media storage device destruction
- Plastic card destruction (NEW)

- This VOR arrangement also includes the additional new benefits:
- Implementation of an online ordering portal which is expected to increase service efficiency and reduce administrative tasks.A new requirement for a monthly shredding bin fill report to be shared with clients, which will provide information on bin utilization. This information will allow clients to adjust their bin inventory and service frequency accordingly, which can lead to cost reductions for clients.
