Fresh Bread and Buns Vendor of Record Arrangement

Overview

Supply Ontario (SO) has established a new Vendor of Record (VOR) arrangement for the Supply and Delivery of Fresh Bread and Buns (Tender #18072).

Canada Bread Company, Limited (Canada Bread) is the successful vendor who will provide fresh bread and bun products province-wide. Canada Bread has extensive experience in the bakery industry and will continue to serve the Ontario Public Service (OPS) for another term.

The VOR arrangement, effective September 10, 2023, is for a term of up to two years with an option to extend for two additional one-year extensions. The VOR arrangement is mandatory for OPS ministries and agencies and is optionally available to non-OPS entities including municipalities, academic institutions, school boards, health care providers, and major transfer payment recipients.

The VOR arrangement provides consistent quality and service, and discounted prices on items such as:

  • loaf breads (white, whole wheat, whole grain and specialty products);
  • hamburger buns;
  • hot dog buns;
  • sub buns;
  • kaiser buns;
  • dinner rolls;
  • flat breads;
  • pitas; and
  • bagels

Buyers will be able to order by phone, email and online and can use the vendor’s online web portal to:

  • consult a product guide and check inventory
  • easily customize orders
  • view previous orders
  • view/print invoices
