Our VOR program delivers procurement arrangements that qualifies one or more vendors to provide goods or services for a defined period of time, with defined terms and conditions. The program saves broader public service organizations valuable time and money, while ensuring a fair and transparent procurement process to all vendors.
The SO VOR program provides numerous benefits to government purchasers and vendors and is a key component to Supply Ontario’s mission to centralize public sector purchasing through efficient and value-driven channels.
What are some of the benefits?
- Harnessing public sector purchasing power, enabling the government to buy as one to: advance government priorities; realize significantly more value for money; drive discounts and efficiencies; and reduce administrative costs.
- Creating a streamlined and collaborative public sector supply chain system to improve outcomes for patients, students, business and citizens, reducing the burden of red tape.
- Understanding and engaging marketplace changes to increase supply chain stability and mitigate global supply chain disruptions.
- Establishing a contract term that is attractive to market participants.
- Encouraging competition, investment, improved customer service, innovation and development of Ontario’s supply chain, among multiple other benefits.
Supply Ontario is working to expand the VOR Program, as well as adopting new practices, such as better and faster ways to access and use the program, and to use VOR refreshes to provide an opportunity for existing and new businesses to qualify as vendors, or existing vendors to qualify for additional categories.
